Capt. Mark Wright – Professional Full-time Fishing Guide
Captain Mark Wright is a lifelong resident of the beautiful and hospitable Mississippi Gulf Coast. He grew up hunting waterfowl and fishing the brackish marsh and bayous of Mississippi and Louisiana and could often be found most summer mornings wade fishing in pursuit of many species of fish.
The captain previously served 25 years in the Mississippi Army National Guard as a full-time technician. After serving two overseas deployments (Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom) in support of the Global War on Terror, Captain Mark retired as a Sergeant First Class E-7.
The captain has more than 40 years of fishing and hunting experience to his credit. Captain Mark served as weigh-master for more than 10 years for the Mississippi deep-sea fishing rodeo, “Billed as the largest fishing rodeo in the world,” which is held annually on or around the 4th of July weekend. He competed in numerous local and out-of-state tournaments; including competitive Professional Redfish Tournaments such as the Louisiana Saltwater Series and the IFA Redfish Tour, with multiple top 20 finishes, top 10 finishes, top 5 finishes and two 1st place wins to his credit throughout his tournament career.
Many local coast fisherman and waterfowl hunters rely on his knowledge, and he is always willing to provide helpful tips to anglers and hunters so that they may have successful and fun-filled days outdoors.
